Creating Positive Change Together connects those who want to make a difference to inclusivity, wellbeing, individual and business performance.

We connect people together to create change. Working in a group provides diverse thinking, a shared experience, and greater accountability (and support) to take action.

We have a number of offerings:

We run small coaching groups, connecting people from different organisations, and from underrepresented groups, who want to have more impact.

Currently we run a year’s programme for senior women in business. In 2024 we are planning to launch a group for ethnically diverse women, and are exploring running groups for neurodivergent women. All groups are based on the foundation of playing to your strengths. We don’t run many, but they make a big difference to those who take part, who then make a bigger difference to others and their organisation.

We run an annual ‘unconference’, bringing together business leaders and psychologists to generate ideas and connections.

We offer virtual Thinking Partnership Courses, for people to experience and learn how to create psychological safety (applying Nancy Kline’s Time to Think approach). You will also get the time and space to think for yourself on topics of your choice, and feel the benefit of ‘generative attention’. This course will equip you with skills that can apply in many contexts: 1-1 conversations, team leadership, client relationships, and even your personal life.

Get in touch for more information on any of the above at hello@applypsychology.co.uk

From my first conversation with Emily, I knew I had found what Seth Godin describes as “A tribe is a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader and connected to an idea”.  CPCT (senior women in business) became my tribe.

    Angela Hobbs, Entrepreneur

I would like to thank you for connecting me with such an amazing group of women. When I was first asked to join the club, I was worried about fitting it. Right from the first call, I realised this fear was completely unfounded. I was a new senior manager, and I didn’t realise that I had a voice and that it was worthy of being heard. The ladies in the course have been so helpful to my growth as a person and as a manager. I am sad that we are coming to the end of the course but hopeful that I will stay in contact with everyone.

Amanda Burnett, Head of Customer Experience

A very smart and patient friend suggested over a Friday evening, “how was your week” catch up, that I consider joining a group called CPCT.

As Managing Director of an SME, my first reaction was that I couldn’t possibly make time for that. I was working extremely long hours struggling to drive a challenging change management strategy and simultaneously build a Senior team. But cliches aside, it was the best professional decision I have ever made.

Emily, it’s people like you that fan the flames of change. We need more people like you pushing the agenda from the outside because the handful of people shouting from the inside aren’t being heard!

    Jacqui Russell, Senior Engineer

Taking part in the CWCC 2019 (now CPCT) has been a great experience; It has been hugely insightful finally realising that a lot of my successes come from me and are not just lucky breaks!

What has been an additional bonus and benefit is the group coaching, support and feedback that I have got from being part of this. It is so well facilitated and all of my group provides thoughtful questions and positivity which has really helped me grow in confidence.

Debbie Clifford, Head of People, Olive Communications

I’ve ended the year feeling able to go and speak to my Director about future promotion and potentially becoming a Director in the future myself which is a big step forward for me.

    Natasha, Operations Manager

I just want to say thank you for providing me with the opportunity to be part of CPCT. I appreciate that Covid has changed the way things were supposed to go, but it’s still been a great experience. I’ve learnt a lot and met some lovely people. Caroline you have been nothing but accommodating and supportive through it all which has really helped to make me feel at ease. I look forward to seeing CPCT continue!

    Megan Goswell, Head of People

I can’t express the impact this has had on me professionally and personally. I have reconnected with my values and strengths, I have a plan, and believe in myself again (and I’ve got a promotion!).

    Lyndsey

Amazingly powerful coaching to build confidence and realise latent potential. I’ve witnessed, first-hand, how this helps brilliant women unleash their potential. Thanks Emily. Highly recommended.

Rob Goode, Senior Associate, Operational Performance, Arup

I spend a lot of time and energy on my own development and this is one of the best learning experiences I’ve had in ages. Your have a great ability to connect at a really deep level and the way you share your knowledge and experience worked so well for me. (The Thinking Partnership course with Susie).
