Latest news
We are welcoming in the final months of this year and looking forward to 2025 with lots of exciting plans.
The highlights to share are:
– In April 2024, we held our second unconference. This year we were delighted to increase numbers by over 20% – we gathered 54 people together in a room, from fifteen different types of businesses and we were demographically diverse (with an even split on gender which is a start!). We shared a curiosity about people and culture and a drive to create positive change at work. You can read more about the event here. Our next unconference will be held on Thursday 3rd April 2025, for more details and to book email cass@applypsychology.co.uk.
– We are developing other ideas around the CPCT idea – connecting people together from different organisations to create something that advances both individuals and helps them to influence the wider world of work. Alongside our long running coaching group for women, we have two new groups starting soon – one for Neurodivergent Women (facilitated by Susie, recently diagnosed as neurodivergent), and one for Ethnically Diverse Women (facilitated by Sonali). Get in touch if you want to find out more!
– Emily started her part-time PhD in January 2024 at the University of Exeter – the research will take place over the next seven years. The focus is on diversity at leadership levels in STEMM (Science Technology Engineering Maths Medical). Specifically, it will look at how feelings of both fitting in and standing out impact progression, and how organisations can influence that. She will be posting regularly on linked in with more details.
We also continue to provide coaching and leadership development support (as well as support for selection, including a wide range of psychometric testing). Please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more about anything that we do, with no obligation – we find it energising to talk to people!
