* a participant-driven meeting that creates a space for peer-peer learning, collaboration, and creativity.
On April 25th, 2024, we held our second unconference. This year we were delighted to increase numbers by over 20% – we gathered 54 people together in a room, from fifteen different types of businesses and we were demographically diverse (with an even split on gender which is a start!). We shared a curiosity about people and culture and a drive to create positive change at work.
All organisations consist of people coming together to deliver something that the world places value on. At Apply Psychology we want to create firmer connections between the science and theory of human behaviour and how that can be applied in the workplace. By doing this we can create happier and more inclusive places of work, but also become more effective and efficient in the way we work resulting in a better return on investment. These are all things that matter.
If you want to join us for our next unconference on Thursday 27th March 2025, email cass@applypsychology.co.uk. If you need convincing, this is what our participants had to say about this year’s event:
‘A very useful event for networking and designed to be fully inclusive in a very non-pressurised environment’ Nikki Bachra
‘The unconference was a thought-provoking blend of academic research and practical application, bringing home how important people and their spread of diversity is to creating a rewarding working environment’ Andrew Lewis
‘Such a powerful day! A wonderful blend of research sharing and then application to industry, followed by networking. I came away re-energized with solutions to some issues that I have been struggling with and connections to share ideas further. Would recommend this event highly to people leaders’ Susan Creber
‘Apply Psychology’s Unconference is a great event to challenge your perceptions of what works. We hear from a great mix of Business Psychologists and Business Leaders to find out what works (and what doesn’t) with the opportunity to explore how to implement new ideas in our own organisations. Be prepared to be challenged in a way that you can affect positive change’ Tara Lochery
‘An event that can give you ideas and genuine points of action to make positive changes in your life and in business’ Mark Proctor
